Ajoka Institute’s Art of Acting students performed “Bala King” on 9 September at the Punjabi Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC), at the end of their 3-months course. The play was an abridged version of Shahid Nadeem’s popular play and addresses issues of political corruption and violence. It is the story of BalaPehlawan’s gang who enter politics and rise to the top through bribery and intimidation. The play was directed by Ajoka Institute director Nirvaan Nadeem, who also distributed certificates to the successful students.
