Ajoka Institute director Nirvaan Nadeem conducted a theatre workshop in Islamabad from 18-23 September, at the invitation of FACE and sponsored by USAID. The participants of this 5-day residency were from the Pakistan-US Alumni Network. Durinhg the residency the participants reflected on the powerful of arts in bringing about social change, advocacy of the rights of women and minorities. Nirvaan shared Ajoka’s experience of theatre for social change and highlighted its achievements in raising awareness of human rights and peace. The residency ended with a short performance on the giirls’ right to education and freedom of movement.
