"Maiku Kari Kareenday Ni Mae" (They are honor-killing me 0 Mother) is a fictional account of proceedings of a Panchayat of men sitting in the judgment of their own women, who are accused of violating the tribal code of honor. "Mainoon Kari Kareenday Ni Mae" is part of Ajoka's campaign to create awareness about the savage custom of "honour" killing and mobilize public opinion for its eradication. The play has been performed in big cities as well as in areas badly affected by "Karo Kari" killings. A male member of the family needs a scape-goat to cover his own crime of murdering an innocent man. He cleverly knits a plan so that the entire blame could be directed towards the females in the family as it is easier to sacrifice a woman in the name of honor killing. Such a woman is put through a trial by the men of her own family. Women one by one, are interrogated and humiliated. Men folk eventually succeed in finding an innocent victim.
